Another Win For Manny Pacquiao Against Shane Mosley
As many boxing analysts and other observers’ prediction with regard to Manny Pacquiao vs. Shane Mosley’s bout, the Pound-for-Pound King in the world has won the at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas with unanimous decision. Pacquiao also knocked down Mosley on the third round and their fight lasted until 12 rounds.
Many observers saw that Mosley was not throwing too many punches against Pacquiao as he experienced how strong the punches of Pacquiao are. The world champion in boxing also defended his Welterweight Title against Mosley and made a 14 straight wins with his fights. On the other hand, Mosley, a 39-year-old American, has not won a fight since January 2009, ninth-round knockout that ousted Antonio Margarito as WBA Welterweight Champion, having lost a unanimous decision on May 1, 2010 to six time’s champion, Floyd Mayweather Jr at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas and battled to a draw on September with Sergio Mora, a former junior middleweight belt-holder.
Meanwhile, Pacquiao, a 32-year-old Filipino boxer, failed to earn his ninth strike during a winning streak that dates back to a unanimous decision loss on March 2005 with Erik Morales. The defending champion won, 120-107, 120-108 and 119-108, on the cards of Duane Ford, Dave Moretti and Glenn Trowbridge respectively.
However, Pacquiao was not pleased with his third consecutive unanimous decision, but in lengthening his victory line to 14 straight wins, he may have retired another Hall of Famer. In a main damage of Mosley, Pacquiao rode a knock down in the third round and a stable hail of left hands to a unanimous decision that keeps his WBO Welterweight Title.
Pacquiao also blamed his left leg cramps from the fourth round on for not being capable to end his fight with Mosley. The latter said that he fought the best boxer in the whole world and he has outstanding power. Mosley also said that he had never been struck like this before and he also added that Pacquiao is as quick as he had ever fought.
Congratulations Manny! Pride of the Filipinos.
