WBO to Give Diamond Ring to Manny Pacman Pacquiao
The World Boxing Organization (WBO) will give Fighter of the Decade, welterweight champion and the world champion for eight divisions, Manny Pacman Pacquiao a special diamond ring as being the super champion in the boxing world. Francisco Valcarcel, which is the president of the organization, said that the diamond ring will be given to the Pound-for-Pound King before his fourth defense on his title against the undefeated boxer, Timothy Dessert Storm Bradley on June 9, 2012 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
The president claimed that they are going to give Pacman with a diamond ring as a gift, a special ring, as a super champion in the boxing world. Moreover, the diamond ring is specifically intended for the Pound-for-Pound King. President Valcarcel also claimed that there are only two rings in the world and this is one for Pacman and the other one they gave to Oscar de la Hoya way back in 1995. The WBO president added that the ring is for best boxers only.
Furthermore, Pacman who holds a record in the ring of 54-3-2 and 38 knockouts is slated to get his diamond ring from WBO the week of his bout versus Bradley with a ring record of 29 fights and 12 knockouts.
