Trilogy Bout: Who will be the real winner?
The much awaited third bout between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez are days to go and everybody will witness who will be the real champ between the two. With both intention to settle the hanging question of who is the real and better boxer inside the ring. According to Pacquiao, who is considered as the number one Pound-for-Pound Boxer, there are surely personal feelings between. Pacman also said after his 15 rounds sparring in a gym in Hollywood that he was not saying that he is angry or he hate Marquez, but those feelings give him more inspiration with his training, and it motivate him to fight as hard as he can since he is also expecting Marquez to be at his strongest state.
In addition, Pacman, 32, has risen to become the number one fighter with 14 consecutive successes that included knockouts of Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto, Erik Morales and Ricky Hatton. Pacman’s record was 53 wins 3 loss and 2 draws with 38 knockouts. In the meantime, Marquez, 38, has been the rough counterpuncher who looks like to have Pacquiao’s number. Sure, Pacman knocked him down for three times way back in 2004 fight in the first round, but he won almost each round after and their first fight was settled to be draw.
Pacman also knocked down Marquez again in their fight in 2008 and the latter was left bloodied in their fight that reached 12 rounds. Again, Pacman won this fight with split decision by one point on the deciding scorecard of the judges. On the other hand, Marquez claimed that there were wars. And for him, he knows that he has to win the fight in a more credible way than he believed he already did with their first two fights. He continued that no one can say again that it was close. He wants to be the clear winner. That is what sells the dramas in the Trilogy Fight between Pacman and Marquez.
